Meet Our Founder

Hey I am Audra Gordon.

My Journey

I was born on the Caribbean islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines but was raised in Brooklyn, New York. I am an expat who has lived in Hong Kong for the past 15 years. My passion for travel has taken me to 76 countries across 6 continents.

Although I enjoy exploring all regions across the world, I have a strong connection to the African continent, so I frequently travel there. I also feel at home in mainland China, where my creative ideas come to life & all our vibrant pieces are made.

I haven't always been a fashion founder. I’ve spent most of my career working as a banker in New York & Hong Kong. A few years ago, I took a career break to pursue a full-time MBA. That led me to a summer interning in Ghana, a 6-month solo road trip across Africa and ultimately, to launching my vibrant fashion brand, Beam Bold.

My Design Philosophy

I've seen firsthand the impact of textile waste while traveling extensively across Africa, and I vowed to do something about it. 

I truly believe that tackling the textile waste problem begins at the design stage. At Beam Bold, we design our adjustable pieces for long-term use.  Our timeless designs, with our native tropical flair, are made to evoke joy & lift your spirit.
